My mind has been all over the place today. Just because. So I decided to embrace this mood and pulled together an outfit that I think bears the same sense of uncertain reference. Check out this little video I made.

My New Balance Midnight Bloom’s were the starting point for this outfit. Knowing I was going for a largely dress down feel, these trainers are off the wall enough in their design to ensure a definite statement piece in your outfit. The pastel pink golf tee I found at Edgars is also becoming a firm favourite, especially now that we are back into the warmer months here in South Africa.

Paired with my light wash skinnies from River Island, a long-time fashion staple, I finished off the outfit with a slightly deconstructed tweed blazer to add texture to the overall look. The cap allowed me to get away with a “bad hair day” vibe, but really works well with my black glasses to continue the overall dress down theme.

Daniel Wellington Classic Watch on My Lime Boots

The crowning glory of this outfit was my classic Daniel Wellington 40mm dress watch. I so enjoy this piece, which I have had for about three months now, as it oozes a minimalistic design style that speaks to me as a person. I am able to pair this watch for more formal occasions and, as in today, am able to dress it down as in this look. As an added bonus, all Daniel Wellington time-pieces have interchangeable straps, from colourful NATO inspired canvas straps to elegant leather straps.

Do you own a Daniel Wellington piece? What other interesting outfit options have you put together with your piece? Let me know in the comments below, would love to see your creativity!
