These works culminate in an ongoing conversation with myself, whispered in the slipstream of my travels. Each moment, anchored in a unique place and time, traces the quiet contours of an inner reckoning – seeking a place that feels like home, revealing a sense of self still in the making.

The act of framing a scene has become a cathartic way of ordering my thoughts. Many of these photographs are composed with a precision that feels subconscious – a quiet attempt to bring shape to the shifting questions I carry about identity, meaning and belonging.

Light is a constant companion in these works. I am drawn to it not only for its aesthetic possibilities but for the traces it holds: illumination, clarity, the fleeting possibility of glimpsing into the heart of things. Often, I do not sense the full weight of a scene until after I have made the image. Only then, in reflection, do I recognise how the frame holds a mirror to what lies within me – a moment of recognition, a fragment of self-awareness, caught in the act of looking.

 These photographs are not answers, but markers along the road; a record of my attempts to see, to feel, to understand. In their making, I am reminded that the outward gaze is never separate from the inward one.
